i wasn’t however busy enough to stop myself from drunkenly getting a twitter, and then 6 hours later deleting it.

once sia is over: i will have a mega post of the first month of 2010, including: nuggets, zoot down, more zoo, wolfpuzzle 2.0, probably some more zoo, cat skiing, my awesome new shirt, sia, on-snow, the piercing of my other ear (i’m assuming this is going to happen), my excitement for lost season 6, and hopefully some other exciting things.

in case you didn’t notice i work for a snowboard company. so what kind of workers would we be if we didn’t just take off a random monday and shred?

a very betts christmas.

its the holidays. so what does that mean? spend some time with the people you love.

who do i love? you.oh so much.

but, who else do i love? my family.

traditionally at the betts’ household we spend christmas eve opening presents, enjoying delicious food, and then booing at all the crappy christmas lights in our neighborhood. another tradition the betts’ clan participates in is declaring someone who “ruined” christmas – naturally, this year it was me (due to some aggressive opening of my mother’s blinds).

it was so great to have doug home for the holidays and to spend time with the betts people i know. (pun intended)

last sunday, the people of burton and the program invited our dealers and close friends down to the showroom for some good holiday fun. did i say holiday fun? i meant open bar. dude. (party came complete with a dancing john d santa claus, a pinata of old st. nick, and free facebook photos for all).

a broncos sunday.

my brother doug and his beautiful lady stephanie came home to spend christmas with our awesome family, and (most importantly) the broncos game! doug, stephanie, sean, and i headed to invesco field for a lovely afternoon bleeding orange and blue. we had our broncos gear on and bottomless mimosas in our stomaches…we were ready for a great day. when we divided up the season tickets, i assumed the raiders was going to be a gimme – however, we lost 19-20. either way, awesome day spent with the bros and our

a few weeks back, i traveled to vermont with my coworkers (hannah, chad, and jevan) for the 2010 burton winter sales meeting. a gathering of all the burton reps around the world to snowboard, drink, and karaoke to metallica.

my original intent was to make a mini video of the entire monstrosity, however, day 2, i lost my flip video camera to stowe mountain. so that happened. i forgot to charge my regular camera for the next 5 days, until i realized we had the most epic of nights approaching: the metallica karaoke contest. i caught 5 shots of the beginning, and about 300 of the end. clearly, i suck at blogging.

the magical wolf puzzle.

there a few things i know to be true in my life.
1. wolves are awesome. everything about them.
2. puzzles are also amazing.

thus, combining the two would create the most epic magical thing ever. wolfpuzzle.

a week ago my good friend from burton, chris zimmerman sent a magical wolf puzzle to me and shawna. you may have seen it on our facebooks, as we blabbed on about how we were completing a puzzle. a puzzle about wolves. it took us 5 days. here is the progression:

night one: shawna went for more of a chaos theory and tried to start in the middle…naturally i went for the obvious edge piece put together.

day 2 and 3: we’re starting to see the outlines of wolves.

day 5: on day 4, we went shredding. so forgive us for not puzzling on day 4.
however, day 5 brought us to an awesome conclusion.

on friday, december 4th, the worker bees of damiano, inc. (aka burton colorado, aka DamianoINCANS), got together and ate some food. we celebrated the ending of a long hard year being a rep for a snowboard company. everyone brought hot dates, we took tornado shots [via paige], and ate some delicious food. at no point during the night did we talk about twilight (okay, that’s a lie.) all in all, a great night with some of my favorite peoples, the people i spend 96% of my time with: my fellow damianoINCANS.
