blog? what the f is a blog?

blogging. i suck at it. but here is my attempt to get back into the game.

since the last time i seriously blogged, i did the following things:

* i was told that my wrist was not broken, went snowboarding, was told my wrist was broken, went snowboarding, wore a splint for a week, was told it was not broken. gave up, stopped going to the doctor.

* i went to florida. i got drunk with my brother for 5 straight days.

* i had an awesome altercation with the security machine at the airport. my splint registered as “explosives” – awesome.

* i saw my favorite band. say anything with packy and shay.

* i went to root down for bottomless mimosas 6 times.

* i got a new roommate, you might know her: miss shawna cathleen watts.

* i worked a demo. and worked these hot tiger pants.

* i was pepa, jess was salt.

* i didn’t start twittering. cough, cough, yess and nicole.

* i went to new mexico with katie – answered the following questions: are unicorns real? how do you make cocain? are there female centaurs? guac?

* i saved people’s boobs by raising money and wearing a pink wig.

* i rediscovered music.

* i got drunk in breck and walked from peak 8 to town, at 3:30 in the morning.

* nicole and i found this squirrel before the drunken night in breck. nabbot captured the pre-debauchery.

* i went to the dentist.

* i became obsessed with twilight. (yeah, i’m a girl)

* i partied with taylor murray. you’re jealous.

* i cleaned up at cee-low. thanks nb.

and that is that. oh…

* i worked my ass off, thus the lack of blogging.

i’d say i had a pretty radtastic 2 months.

40daysofawesome? wha wha.

reach back into the old days….earlier this summer when hola yessie and i did a little project called “30 days of awesome.” i’m happy to say that it’s taken off and people around the world are getting awesome too. one of my best friends, kait mcnally, has started her own awesome quest, and 1-uped me with 40 days of awesome. make sure to stop in on her blog and see what sorts of awesome she is getting into.

i was super stoked to find that she had an entire day of awesome dedicated to me.

opening day(s).

unless you’ve been living under a rock, you must know that snowboarding season is upon us. loveland and abasin had their great race to be the first resort to open in the united states, and coming in first was loveland. wednesday, october 7th, loveland started up their lifts for the 2009-2010 season. abasin followed with an opening on friday, october 9th. being the snow enthusiast i am, i was there for both events.

the rest of the gang headed up for a damiano, inc shred day. sadly, my arm is now confirmed as broken, so for the first time in abasin opening history, i didn’t session the park.

i know i haven’t been blogging in a while. to the 4 of you who check my blog, i apologize.
let me update you on a few things that have happened recently.

i went to greeley for an event with the ncr riders (boulder freeride of the north) on a random thursday.
my dear friend pablo perez works for the greeley chamber of commerce as the tourism coordinator. i constantly joke with him about being the one-man welcome wagon.

pablo arrived at the event in true welcoming fashion.

i joined him in welcoming people.

then i went to an art show, a bachlorette party (photos soon), got a pedicure, drank bottomless mimosas, watched my friend elaine get married, have a super clinic (premiered our secret video…see below), party with the raddest people burton has to offer (red…you know i’m talking about you), previewed 2012 (that’s right), gave out free knowledge in boulder and ft. collins, became a mixmaster…and… then, i went blonde.

if you knew me before 2004, this doesn’t look so weird to you. if we’ve become friends in the last 5 years…this is me as a blonde.

then, i drove down to new mexico to visit some of my zumexican shops. new mexico sports systems and nmx hosted a rail jam to kick off the upcoming snowboarding season. last year i participated in the rail jam, but was cut short due to some injuries from my girl whit whit. this year, my snowsticking was cut short due to this:

haven’t been to a doctor yet, but i’ll keep you posted. i feel fine, but i’m 73% sure it’s broken.

oh, then there was a bear sighted in cleveland. so that’s nice.

my sister found this in my niece annie’s notebook. she’s almost 7 (saturday is the big day)…and clearly by this amazing drawing, she is very creative.

apparently there is a mean girl in their class named skyler, and according to this document, she eats poop and is in jail.

it was meg’s first day on a bike, and she tore it up – and despite thachers 2 hours of sleep the night before, he owned the 50. as always sean killed it, and banner day for the elbee – i didn’t fall! things are looking up.

september 18th, 2009.
my good friends jason black and bridget redfern have made it official – they tied the knot of love. they met in college, and i was lucky enough to have front row seats not only to their wedding on friday night, but to watching them fall in love!

not only was a great celebration of two very good looking people – but it was also a reunion of friends i haven’t seen in 5 years (i just dated myself). the shit show has reunited.

congratulations bridget and jason!

the wedding was outside at the hudson gardens and so beautiful. sadly, the sun was setting during the vows and the only photos i actually got were these two: beautiful bride bridget walking down the isle with her dad, and the newlyweds on their way to the party!
